Calling all adventure seekers, Bali Quad Adventures presents the off-road adventure that drives you right into the heart of Bali . Located within the depths of Bali’s natural woods is Bali ’s one and only Buggy Discovery Tour, and the experience definitely lives up to its name. This buggy adventure is a two-hour long ride bringing you right into the middle of Bali ’s roots, its beautiful natural resources and the villages that surround it. The starting point is a modest-looking cabin perched on the foot of a small hill. This is where you’ll be greeted by friendly guides who will teach you the ways of the buggy. Each buggy can hold its driver and a passenger and it is fully automated, so if you’re not familiar with a stick-shift, you’ll still be able to enjoy the experience. The gas pedal and the brake pedal is all you need to know about so there won’t be any embarrassing stalling of vehicles mid way. Each group is accompanied by a trained guide who is there to answer any questions you may have as well as to make sure that you don’t get lost somewhere along the way. Mechanics will also be on standby just in case the buggy decides to fail on you. All precautions have been made to ensure the safety of the drivers and their passengers. We’ve been told that many people find half the fun in steering their buggies into a ditch and these sturdy vehicles are still able to make its way back to the starting point with its passengers unscathed.Once the introduction has been made, prepare yourself for an exciting ride. The all-terrain track takes you through the woods, paddy fields and many different Balinese villages. It takes you through the parts of Bali that is pure and untouched. The villagers are friendly and you’ll find them waving at you as you pass by. Pit stops, where coffee and tea is served, are made along the way at hill tops and it is here that you’ll be able to capture the spectacular view of paddy fields and other greeneries as far as the eye can see. If you want to learn more about the area, just ask the guides and they will give you a brief introduction to the village, the people and their culture. After two hours of non-stop adventure, be sure to stay for the buffet lunch. The food is surprisingly tasty and it is a good way to close an exciting outing. Showers and washrooms are available to those who find themselves covered in mud and towels are also provided upon request. In such cases, bringing an extra set of clothes would be a wise idea. Prices are reasonable and range between USD78 to USD118 inclusive of the afternoon buffet. Air-conditioned transport to and from the hotel is provided but that’s as much air conditioning as you’re going to get. Bali Quad Adventures also offers other adventure activities such as quad driving and rafting so be sure to enquire about the different packages that are offered. This might not be the sort of adventure for delicate people who are not keen on getting rough and dirty, but it is designed for adults and children age 7 and above. It is absolutely safe, the prices are reasonable and you’ll be rewarded with good food at the finishing line. The highlight of this adventure comes from the journey through the heart of Bali where you’ll be able to witness the purity and the beauty of Bali ’s origins.
